USB Token - ADDY
Α USB token is an electronic device that looks exterior to USB Flash memory, but it is special devices where your digital certificates are safely stored. The official name of these devices in Greek is Digital Signature Creation Safeguard.
They are connected to a USB port on the computer and allow you to digitally sign your pdf - word documents, etc. The digital signature has the same or greater weight than your physical signature and is mandatory for participation in public tenders conducted through the National Electronic Public Procurement System portal (Ε.Σ.Η.ΔΗ.Σ.).
To obtain the digital signature, you must:
- purchase a USB token,
- apply through ADCs and obtain passwords on your digital certificates,
- install the device on your PC and the certificates on it.
